Jacobs Receives Program/Construction Management Contract From the Louisiana Department of Education

PASADENA, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the Recovery School District (RSD) of the Louisiana Department of Education to provide program/construction management services for a multi-site facilities program estimated at $550 million over a three-year period.

Jacobs and its Louisiana-based joint venture partner CSRS, Inc. also will be supported by two local subcontractor teammates: Bright Moments and GOTECH, Inc.

The program consists of school repairs and renovations resulting from Hurricane Katrina, and new school construction and temporary education facilities. The Jacobs/CSRS selection continues the team's services to RSD which began in April 2007 and resulted in a highly successful emergency effort that provided critical space and ancillary support components prior to starting the 2007-08 school year.

Services on this program will include project delivery strategies; management of all pre-design, design, and construction phase activities; cost control; schedule management; and quality assurance.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Warren Dean stated, "We bring extensive experience in working in post-Katrina Louisiana and from similar national K-12 program/construction management assignments to support the RSD with rebuilding the New Orleans public school facility infrastructure. We are delighted to be working with the RSD on this tremendous effort, which will provide enhanced learning opportunities for current and future students."

Jacobs, with over 54,000 employees and about $9 billion in revenues, provides technical, professional, and construction services globally.
