PASADENA, Calif., Oct 05, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide a broad range of professional services to the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
The contract has a maximum value of $50 million.
Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs will provide architectural and engineering services, as well as implementation planning and environmental support to MCC in Africa, Eurasia, Latin America and the Middle East. Jacobs' global presence provides a strong foundation to support MCC's results-driven development model by providing services on-site around the world. Jacobs has a history of supporting MCC projects in Armenia, Georgia, Ghana, Lesotho and Tanzania.
MCC, established by the United States Congress in 2004, is an innovative and independent U.S. foreign aid agency that is helping to lead the fight against global poverty. To date, MCC has approved over $8 billion in compact and threshold programs that support projects in developing countries in sectors such as transportation, irrigation, education and water sanitation.
