PASADENA, Calif., May 18, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from ICA Construcciones Pesadas to provide detail engineering services for a waste water treatment plant in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. The Agua Prieta high capacity waste water treatment plant is expected to process the majority of the waste water produced by the cities of Guadalajara, Tonala and Zapopan in Jalisco. The plant will benefit a population of more than four million.
Officials did not disclose the contract value.
Jacobs' Mexico City office will provide civil, structural and architecture detail, as well as engineering detail design for the facility (electrical, fire protection and civil/structural). Additionally, Jacobs is expected to provide engineering support during construction.
