PASADENA, Calif., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from La Poste, France's national mail service, to provide owner engineer (OE) support, under a Long-Term Agreement (LTA), to construct three new mail sorting/dispatching platform facilities in France. They are located at Cestas, Pau, and Bois D'Arcy. Six other platforms are currently under construction countrywide by another OE, and approximately 15 additional platforms are forecast in new locations.
The duration for this multi-project LTA is to be defined, however, Jacobs has already been working on these projects under the LTA for 2 years. Officials did not disclose the contract values.
All platforms will be equipped with innovative pre-dispatching and stamping/obliteration machines as well as with robotized/automated sorting machines for large and ordinary format mail. Through this multi-project program, La Poste will become Europe's leader for the volume of mail treated every day.
As OE for La Poste, Jacobs' Paris office will ensure the project's challenging schedule is accomplished.
