Jacobs Receives Contract From Marine Corps to Support PM TRASYS on Culture and Language Training Systems

PASADENA, Calif., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a task order from the Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, Va., to support the Program Manager for Training Systems (PM TRASYS) on culture and language training systems.

Officials estimate the potential value of the 3-year contract at $1.1 million.

Jacobs will provide technical support for strategic planning and investment decision-making; research and developmental efforts; upgrades and modifications to existing programs; hardware and software testing; and fielding and sustainment of training products and technologies.

In making the announcement, Jacobs President and CEO Craig Martin stated, "This contract provides an excellent opportunity to build upon our longstanding relationship with the Marine Corps. Our services will help develop, enhance, and sustain mission-critical cultural awareness and language training technologies for the Marines."
