DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today it was awarded a contract modification to extend and increase the value of the Engineering and Science Services and Skills Augmentation (ESSSA) contract at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
The contract modification is for a 10-month option and has a potential value of $246.5 million, which includes an increase of $150 million in contract value. The option began on October 1 and extends the period of performance through to July 2017.
The contract extension enables Jacobs to continue providing science and engineering and technician support for flagship programs including the Space Launch System, International Space Station, and numerous smaller space science and technology development projects.
