PASADENA, Calif., May 11, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that its subsidiary Jacobs Spain, S.L., received a contract from Cessna Spanish Citation Service Center, S.L., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, to design and build a new Citation Service Center in Valencia, Spain. Services will be provided from Jacobs' office in Madrid, Spain. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2011.
Officials did not disclose the contract value.
The new facility in Valencia will augment the Cessna Citation Service Center in Paris. It will include 64,000 square feet (6,000 square meters) of hangar space and about 88,264 square feet (8,200 square meters) of office, storage and shop space. Operations at the Service Center are scheduled to begin in 2012.
Cessna plans to begin hiring employees next year and will work with FlightSafety International to fulfill maintenance training requirements.
