PASADENA, Calif., March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract to manage and execute maintenance services for the Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) Horizon Upgrader -- a new world-class, grassroots Upgrader coming on line in 2008.
Officials did not disclose the value of the 3-year contract that has an option to extend by another two years.
Jacobs will support the commissioning and start-up phase of the Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada facility, transitioning into a maintenance role as the plant reaches steady-state operation. In executing this work, Jacobs will apply its proven maintenance technology and over 40 years of Canadian oil sands maintenance experience.
