PASADENA, Calif., March 25, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from Southeast Missouri State University to provide architectural and engineering design services for a new 305-bed residence hall on the University's main campus in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Officials did not disclose the contract value.
The new five-story, 80,000-gross-square-foot facility has a construction cost of over $18 million. Project delivery has been structured to employ an accelerated delivery schedule and a phased construction strategy to accommodate the University's need to achieve early occupancy. Jacobs is partnered with the design firm of Treanor Architects for the work.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Warren Dean stated, "We are delighted to be able to continue our long-term relationship with Southeast Missouri State University to create a sustainable, state-of-the-art Residence Hall that will enhance the campus and 'quality of life' for their students."
Jacobs, with over 54,000 employees and about $9.0 billion in revenues, provides technical, professional, and construction services globally.
