Jacobs Receives Alliance Contract from Eastman Chemical Company for Construction, and Maintenance Services

PASADENA, Calif., Aug 03, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a multi-year, continuous presence contract from Eastman Chemical Company for program management services, capital construction projects and site maintenance support at its Kingsport, Tennessee, site. Eastman Chemical Company is a global chemical company which manufactures and markets a broad portfolio of chemicals, fibers and plastics.

Officials did not disclose the overall contract value.

Eastman's Tennessee operation employs approximately 6,600 employees and is one of the largest chemical manufacturing sites in North America. The site occupies more than 550 buildings and approximately 4,000 acres of land, with the main plant site covering 900 acres. Eastman's Tennessee operation has long been recognized by the outside world as a progressive, innovative facility.

Jacobs' scope of work includes performance of all small and mid-cap construction projects and a portion of the company's maintenance operations.
