Jacobs Receives $25 Million Contract From The United States Department of State for Worldwide Architect-Engineer Support Services

PASADENA, Calif., Nov. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract to provide architect and engineer (A-E) design services for the United States Government (USG), Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO).

The Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract includes a 12-month base period and four one-year options, making the total contract 5 years in duration if all options are exercised.

The total contract value is $25 Million.

The Worldwide Support Services contract will enable Jacobs to continue to support the Department of State's office of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) efforts to acquire, plan, develop, design, construct, renovate and rehabilitate USG diplomatic Foreign Service facilities around the world.

Jacobs will provide architectural and engineering studies, facility assessments and comprehensive maintenance plans, space planning analysis, master plans, site utilization studies/plans, interior design and graphic design studies, and construction cost estimates.

Other services include facility/infrastructure assessments, value engineering, researching local cost data and construction methodologies, and generating studies, findings, and cost estimates.
