PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it was awarded a contract as sole provider to United Utilities plc for engineering services for the next investment period of its Asset Management Program (AMP6). United Utilities is one of the UK’s largest water and wastewater companies, supplying seven million people in the North West of England with their water and wastewater services.
Officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted that the agreement covers United Utilities’ capital and operational investment associated with their business plan for the AMP6 regulatory period (2015 to 2020) and includes an option to extend by up to eight years into AMP7 and beyond.
Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing a wide range of multi-disciplinary engineering and related services across the lifecycle of United Utilities assets; including water, wastewater and sludge treatment, and network facilities. These services encompass data analytics, strategic and feasibility studies, needs definition, business planning, and network modeling through to tactical support of United Utilities’ operational business, which involves energy and asset optimization, project and program management, and research and development. This award builds on Jacobs’ successful service delivery to United Utilities over the past four years.
