PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that in the last three months it has been selected for over 15 new Distributed Antennae Systems (DAS) contracts, demonstrating the continued expansion of the company’s telecommunications business.
Under the terms of the new contracts, Jacobs is upgrading and installing DAS and small-cell systems for Outside DAS (oDAS) and Inside DAS (iDAS) services for several private and public sector clients. The work is being done for both current and new customers in numerous geographic regions throughout the U.S. in support of sports and entertainment venues; rail, highway and airport sites; major national retail customers; and traditional wireless site upgrades.
Jacobs’ scope of work under these contracts includes self-performing site acquisition and permitting, radio frequency engineering, turnkey engineering and field construction, system integration and optimization, and acceptance testing and overall operation and maintenance of DAS systems.
