Jacobs Appointed to Highways Agency Project Support Services Framework

PASADENA, Calif., July 12, 2011 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it has been appointed to the Highways Agency's Project Support Services Framework to provide integrated highway engineering, technology design services and traffic modelling services in support of the Highways Agency's four-year major project delivery program.

The estimated value of the contract is up to $40 million.

The Highways Agency is an Executive Agency of the UK's Department for Transport. On behalf of the Secretary of State, the Agency is responsible for the management, operation and development of the strategic road network in England. The strategic road network includes most motorways and major 'A' roads. It is valued at over $136 billion (88 billion pounds Sterling) and carries a third of all road traffic in England and two thirds of all road freight traffic.
