PASADENA, Calif. -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Jun. 4, 2013 -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it has acquired Compass Technology Services, Inc. (Compass) headquartered in Atlanta, Ga.
The acquisition of Compass enhances Jacobs’ capabilities in wireless telecommunications infrastructure design and construction; both geographically and by adding additional capabilities to serve the wireless telecommunications industry. For over a decade, Compass has been a major provider of telecommunications professional and field services in the Southeastern U.S.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Kevin McMahon stated, "We are pleased to acquire this solid business with a history of good performance. Compass' talented employees and strong client relationships align well with our relationship-based business model. This acquisition allows us to further diversify our services and drive greater growth in our telecommunications business."
