Our Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Vice President of Cybersecurity, Raj Badhwar, is a recognized voice in cybersecurity and emerging technologies. As an active speaker at major industry events, he helps shape conversations around digital security, innovation and risk. “Being recognized as a global cybersecurity leader highlights the strength of our cybersecurity posture and our continued commitment to safeguarding customer, client, and employee data –while staying compliant with evolving global regulations,” says Raj.

On April 22, Raj was presented with the Global Leadership Award by the HMG Leadership Institute at the HMG Strategy’s 14th Annual Washington D.C. C-Level Technology Leadership Summit. “I’m truly honored to receive this prestigious award. This recognition reflects my commitment to mission-driven, hands-on leadership in strengthening cybersecurity and enhancing risk management across global organizations,” says Raj.

“However, this achievement is not solely mine – it’s a testament to the incredible efforts of our entire Jacobs cybersecurity program. Our team's dedication and hard work play a significant role in this recognition, and I am truly grateful for everyone's contributions,” Raj adds.

He also served as a panelist to discuss, "Visionary Leaders Harnessing Tomorrow’s Technology” in the summit – highlighting generative AI’s continued impact globally, changing the way we create, work and make decisions. Raj talked about the challenge leaders face in pushing innovation forward, while staying grounded in responsibility. It’s not just about tapping into AI’s potential but also about thinking ahead of the risks it brings – from ethical concerns to cybersecurity threats.

Raj discussed quantum computing and it’s potential to bring dramatic increases in processing capability, with the likelihood to reshape industries. As these systems evolve, they may help unlock access to advanced computing resources that were once limited to only a few.

“If done right, this could be more than just a technological shift – quantum computing could mark the beginning of a more secure, accessible and innovative era in computing,” says Raj.

Demonstrating strong leadership in the data and digital space

Our teams are spearheading the digital transformation of critical systems using generative AI, helping us expand market share, improve operational efficiency and deliver beyond traditional capacity.

A recent example is Jacobs’ selection by PsiQuantum to deliver one of the world’s first utility-scale quantum computing facilities in Brisbane, Australia. The facility, aligned with Australia’s National Quantum Strategy, will include master planning, schematic design and owner’s engineer services. Scheduled for completion by late 2027, it will house a main office, a cryoplant and the Quantum Computing Center—strengthening Jacobs’ role in advancing next-generation technology infrastructure.
