Jacobs Receives Contract for the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Specialized Medical Complex in Casablanca, Morocco

PASADENA, Calif., July 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from Abu Dhabi Municipality to provide architecture, design, and supervision services for the 65,000-square-meter health facility. To be located in the Anfa District, a future center for urban expansion in Casablanca, the complex will house specialized wards, a nursing school, a central laboratory, a radiology center, and a VIPs ward.

The US $100 million health facility will be built by a donation offered by UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Jacobs will perform the architectural design in association with Architecture Studio, a well-known French architecture company. This project will also include commercial buildings whose revenues will be used to run the medical city ensuring superior performance, operation, and maintenance. Construction work is expected to commence by year end, and will last 30 months.
