Jacobs Awarded Contract with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Mid-Atlantic Region

PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today it has been awarded a contract by the GSA Mid-Atlantic Region to provide Construction Management Services for the Social Security Administration's New Mission Critical Data Center to be located within a 40 mile radius of the existing facility.

The Social Security Administration's National Computer Center (NCC) is one of the largest computer facilities among civilian Federal agencies. The project has received funding to accelerate the replacement of the outmoded NCC. The new National Support Center (NSC) is estimated at over $300 million and is part of an overall $500 million project.

Construction Management services encompass pre-award, procurement, design, construction and commissioning phase services including development of the Program of Requirements (POR), review of design/construction documents, construction schedule and budget management services, inspection, monitoring of testing, administrative support services and other services related to this project.
