Jacobs Receives Workplace Safety & Health Excellence Award from Singapore Ministry of Manpower

PASADENA, Calif., July 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Performance Excellence Award from the Workplace Safety & Health Council (WSHC) and Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM). The prestigious honor was awarded in recognition of consistent performance in safety and health by Jacobs in Singapore.

The WSH Excellence Award recognizes companies and organizations that have performed well in safety and health through the implementation of sound safety and health management systems. To qualify for this award, Jacobs achieved the Gold Award standard for the last four consecutive years. Jacobs is the only engineering and construction contractor to receive the Excellence Award, the highest level of safety recognition in Singapore for 2012.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President, Tom Quinn stated, "We are proud to be one of only four companies to receive the WSH Excellence Award in 2012 and to have our world class safety performance recognized by the Government of Singapore. In addition to receiving the WSH Excellence Award, one of Jacobs projects won a project-level safety award. And in the category of Safety and Health Award Recognition for Projects (SHARP), Jacobs received recognition for Alliance Projects.
