Jacobs received the Most Popular Engineering & Resources Employer award and ranked 20th in the Top 100 Graduate Employers at the Australian Financial Review's Graduate Employers awards. The award recognizes Australia’s top and most sought-after graduate employers and is determined by the number of job applications on GradConnection, an online platform that connects university graduates with top employers.
"To deliver innovative technology-enabled solutions for the future, we aspire to continually attract, recruit and develop a new breed of talent to pursue their careers with Jacobs. The award recognizes our efforts and ongoing commitment to be the employer of choice for the brightest and most innovative university students," says Jacobs Vice President and Regional Director Australia and New Zealand Richard Hayers. "As a fully inclusive employer, we're also committed to driving gender balance in our graduate and intern intakes. We’re pleased that our intake has increased over the past two years and women graduates and interns make up over 52 percent of that."
To receive this type of accolade, Jacobs actively engaged with university students around the world to garner their interest in engineering careers and strengthened our focus in creating exciting learning and development opportunities for early careers professionals to thrive in their roles. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has made in-person engagement challenging, our Talent Acquisition team found creative ways of engaging virtually with key universities and student organizations, including a variety of virtual Jacobs career fair events where students were invited to join early careers interactive webinars featuring experienced teammates and various senior leaders from around the world.
