CH2M HILL Names Oscar Gonzalez Vice President and Global Program Manager for the Firm’s Transportation Business Group

NEW YORK, 06 September, 2006 — CH2M HILL, a global full-service engineering, construction, and operations firm, has named Oscar J. Gonzalez vice president and global program manager of Transit and Rail for the firm's Transportation Business Group.

Working out of the firm's New York City office, Gonzalez will focus on the continued growth of CH2M HILL's transit and rail services.

Gonzalez brings nearly 25 years of experience in environmental and transportation planning, including bus, light rail, commuter and heavy rail and airport land-side access programs to the firm. Prior to joining CH2M HILL, Gonzalez successfully led projects for organizations including NJ Transit and Port Authority of NY/NJ using extensive community involvement techniques in diverse and politically challenging situations for numerous clients across the U.S.

Gonzalez has managed major transportation studies and environmental analyses leading to preliminary and final engineering design following Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and guidelines.

"My personal mission is to provide the highest level of service to my clients, to ensure their transportation objectives become project realities while also addressing the needs and concerns of key project stakeholders," said Gonzalez.

Gonzalez holds a bachelor's degree as well as a master's degree in City & Regional Planning from Rutgers University. Active in the professional world, he is a member of the American Planning Association, the American Public Transportation Association (a graduate of their Leadership APTA 2003-2004 Program), the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials, and the Women's Transportation Seminar.
