TAPPI PaperCon Conference

Recently, several of our subject matter experts demonstrated Jacobs’ paper machine capabilities to more than 1,750 attendees at the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) PaperCon Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Brianah Morse, Process Engineer, delivered an innovative presentation on the “Utilization of Laser Scanning and 3D Modeling on Paper Machine Rebuilds.” Todd Varner, Process Technical Manager, highlighted design considerations of retrofitting paper machines in his presentation “Heavy Up and Slow Down.”

During the conference awards ceremony, one of our team members was honored for his important contributions to TAPPI. Dale Midyette, Process Department Section Manager, was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation for coordinating conference events over the past several years. In addition to his role at Jacobs, Midyette is now the Chair of the TAPPI Water Removal Committee and a member of the PaperCon Technical Program Committee and Engineering Division Advisory Committee.
