Jacobs Named Engineering Company of the Year by Greater LA African American Chamber of Commerce
Last month, the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce (GLAAACC) presented Jacobs with the Engineering Company of the Year Award for its continued collaboration and support. This award is presented to companies that show the highest level of responsiveness to the African American and small business communities. Jacobs’ Vice President for Economic Inclusion and Supplier Diversity, Gabriele Mack, accepted the award on behalf of the company at the 24th Annual Economic Awards Dinner in Los Angeles on March 23.
Throughout the years Jacobs has worked with the GLAACC to connect with various local organizations including the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Los Angeles World Airports to identify and develop small businesses. Jacobs has a strong commitment to economic inclusion and regularly participates in outreach and capacity building activities to engage SBE and DBE firms in the area. Jacobs recognizes the benefits and importance of making a positive economic impact in the communities where we live and work and place a high value on providing opportunities for local, small and diverse business partners who enable us to deliver innovative solutions for our clients across the world.
