Jacobs to deliver keynote presentation at Digital Earth Symposium
Jacobs is a gold sponsor of the upcoming Digital Earth Symposium, to be held at the new International Convention Centre in Sydney from April 3-6.
The conference is a flagship event of the International Society for Digital Earth, and incorporates the Locate Conference, the national conference of the spatial and surveying industries of Australia and New Zealand.
Jacobs is contributing to the conference program in several areas.
Spatial Technical Director Mary-Ellen Feeney and Digital Engineering Technical Director Ian Hardcastle will deliver a keynote presentation on the role of spatial technology and capability in digital engineering.
Other Jacobs staff members are also presenting papers, including:
- Krish Hariram, ‘Bundaberg Flood Protection Study’;
- Milos Pelikan and David Kelly, ‘Unpacking the 3rd D in 3D – re-imaging the graph as data’; and
- Paul Digney, ‘Improved National Positioning Infrastructure’.
In addition, Jacobs is assisting with a three hour workshop for spatial professionals. The company also has two projects in the running for Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards, to be announced at the conference dinner.
“We are delighted to be associated with the Digital Earth Symposium,” said Feeney. “It will provide both local and international professionals with a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends and applications, as well as forging new connections with subject matter experts from Australia and across the globe.”
