King County Metro, Washington, U.S.
King County Metro is one of the largest transit agencies in the U.S. and an early adopter of battery electric buses (BEB), which produce no exhaust and are quieter than conventional buses. Metro has committed to converting just under 2000 buses to a 100% zero-emissions fleet powered by renewable energy by 2035 and we're excited to be supporting them by managing and designing what's anticipated to be one of the largest BEB facilities in the U.S.
High Speed Two - Phase One, U.K.
HS2 is a state-of-the-art, high speed railway line that is critical for the U.K.’s low-carbon transport future. Jacobs has been supporting Phase One continuously since 2012 across two roles – as Development Partner from 2012 to 2016, and as part of the Engineering Delivery Partner – the Jacobs/Atkins/SENER team – since 2016.
Etihad Rail, UAE
Delivering engineering and design services for the 900-kilometer Etihad Rail network, the UAE’s largest and most vital national freight and passenger railway network, which will ultimately provide enhanced connectivity across geographic markets and services for both freight and passengers, with social benefits including lower transportation costs, faster journeys than highway alternatives and reduced levels of highway congestion.
Victorian Rail Infrastructure Program, Victoria, Melbourne, Australia
As technical advisor for the Victorian Rail Infrastructure Program, we’re helping investigate a range of options, including the development of new demand corridors – such as Melbourne Airport Rail Link – faster rail to the regions, integrated corridor planning, electrification to growth areas and dedicated rolling stock capable of speeds much quicker than any currently operating in the state of Victoria.
Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Supporting an increase in the Kuala Lumpur metro area rail network, we developed the feasibility study for MRT Line 2 from Sungai Buloh to Serdang to Putrajaya, and MRT Line 3, the orbital train system around the city center.
Trinity Metro, TEXRail Commuter Line, Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.
As program manager of the new 27-mile TEXRail commuter rail system, we delivered a vital rail route that’s connecting travelers with hubs across the Dallas-Fort Worth region, and also providing an important economic and employment benefit to the region, while enhancing mobility, easing congestion and improving air quality along the corridor.
LIRR Connection to Grand Central, New York City, New York, U.S.
Delivering consultant construction management services for the boring of nearly seven miles of railroad tunnels; laying 50,000 feet of track; building a new terminal; and building a new commuter station, in addition to extensive infrastructure work aimed at increasing the LIRR's capacity into Manhattan and shortening travel time dramatically for commuters traveling from Long Island and eastern Queens to the East Side of Manhattan.
National Transport Authority Advisor, Dublin, Ireland
Serving in a consortium as Employer's Designer for the development and implementation of Ireland's first metro system – a 19-kilometer, high-frequency, high-capacity metro service including some 11 kilometers of tunnel through the city, with 10 below-ground stations and five above-ground stations – central to a new multi-modal transport strategy to support Dublin's continued economic growth.
