CH2M HILL’s Terry Ruhl elected 2011 ACC Board of Directors Chair

The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) announced the election of Terry A. Ruhl, P.E. of CH2M HILL as Board of Directors Chair at the ACC 32nd Annual Conference & Exposition in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. on Tuesday, November 9, 2010. The ACC is the international trade association that represents the unique interests of consultant firms and related businesses that provide airport development and operations expertise.
 
Ruhl currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Director for Consulting and International Operations for the Transportation Business Group at CH2M HILL, a global full-service engineering, procurement, construction, and operations firm with $6.3 billion in revenue and more than 25,000 employees. In this capacity he leads the aviation, highway/bridge, ports/maritime and transit/rail consulting practice and is responsible for the growth and profitability of these global market segments, both domestic and international. Ruhl has been with the firm for 18 years and from 2006 to 2009 served as Director of CH2M HILL's Aviation Market Segment, directing growth and business strategies.

Ruhl has been involved with some of the world's most challenging airport programs, including major programs in Mumbai, India; Washington, D.C; Palm Beach, Florida; and Memphis, Tennessee along with other military and civilian airport facilities, both domestically and overseas. He has also served as the Chair of the Joint Venture Board for BPC Airport Partners, the master civil engineering organization completing the multi-billion dollar Chicago O'Hare International Airport Modernization Program.
 
Ruhl holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and has taken numerous executive education courses in leadership development, business administration and finance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management, The Thunderbird School of Global Management and the University of Michigan Business School.
