Jacobs Creating First Digital Twin of PUB's Changi Water Reclamation Plant in Singapore

Jacobs, has partnered with PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, in an R&D project to develop and trial a whole plant simulation model for the Changi Water Reclamation Plant (CWRP). The model, a digital twin of the plant, will be the first application of its kind and combines real-time data from supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) historian with software simulation packages (Replica™ Digital Twin Platform) to integrate process, hydraulics, controls and advanced data analytics into a single, whole plant simulation capable of replicating plant operations and predicting future performance in real-time. The trial is expected to be completed by December 2020 and this research is supported by the National Research Foundation Singapore and PUB.

Jacobs, in collaboration with global mental health professionals, has developed One Million Lives – a free mental health check-in tool to enhance users' understanding of their current state of mind and provide proactive strategies for personal mental health development. Since launching, the new tool has already been accessed by users to make more than 3,000 check-ins. By regularly completing a check-in, via the web-based app, users will ideally be better equipped to understand how they are currently coping, assess the early indicators of associated mental health challenges, start positive and active conversations and get support much earlier.

Jacobs and PA Consulting, a leading innovation and transformation consulting firm, announced today that they will form a strategic partnership in which Jacobs will acquire a 65% stake in PA.
