Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. and Arup celebrate the official opening of the Queensferry Crossing by Her Majesty The Queen. The Jacobs Arup Joint Venture (JV) has worked with Transport Scotland since 2007 to develop and manage the Forth Replacement Crossing project in the east of Scotland. The Scottish Government investment of over £1.3 billion ($1.6 billion) comprises the new Queensferry Crossing, the longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world and 22 kilometers (13.7 miles) of major motorway upgrades to the cross-Forth transport corridor.

Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration Awards Jacobs Joint Venture $5 Billion Contract

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today the Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) awarded the management and operating (M&O) contract for the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) near Las Vegas to Mission Support and Test Services LLC (MSTS), a joint venture led by Honeywell. MSTS is a limited liability company including Honeywell International Inc., and equity partners Jacobs and Stoller Newport News Nuclear, Inc. The award is valued at $5 billion over 10 years if all options are exercised.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been selected by Evonik to provide engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services for its new precipitated silica production plant located near Charleston, South Carolina. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Jacobs Awarded US Department of Defense Missile Defense Agency Contract

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded the Integrated Research & Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) follow-on contract for the Missile Defense Agency, a research, development and acquisition agency within the Department of Defense. Jacobs will provide integrated solutions to support concurrent test, training and operations within the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC) mission platform and the execution of the Missile Defense Agency’s enterprise communications and information technology environment. The maximum value of this indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract is $4.6 billion over the duration of the five-year base contract and three award- term years. The primary work sites are located in Alabama, Colorado, and Virginia.

Southern Peru Copper Corporation Appoints Jacobs as EPC Provider for Its No. 1 Acid Plant

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. was selected by Southern Peru Copper Corporation (SPCC) to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for its No. 1 Acid Plant upgrade project. SPCC operates one of the world’s largest copper smelting/refinery facilities in Ilo, Peru, which is located approximately 600 miles south of Lima.
