CH2M welcomes back Bryan Nicol as Transportation Strategic Program/Project Developer

Nicol brings nearly 30 years of public and private business operations, consulting, program management, technology and innovative strategic leadership.

CH2M, with a focus on helping clients solve their most complex infrastructure challenges, is pleased to welcome back Bryan Nicol as Strategic Program/Project Developer. In this role, he will identify and advance major aviation, bridge, highway, port and transit programs and projects across the U.S., Canada and Mexico for the company’s No. 3 Engineering News-Record ranked Transportation business.

Nicol brings nearly 30 years of public and private business operations, consulting, program management, technology and innovative strategic leadership. He comes to CH2M from Accenture, where he was Managing Director serving public and private transportation and engineering/ construction clients. Prior to Accenture, Nicol provided strong leadership in a number of key CH2M transportation positions, including global business development, technology and regional business management roles.

Nicol also served CH2M and its clients in senior level program/project roles, such as executive lead and innovative strategies senior advisor on the $10B PennDOT I-95 Corridor Program; principal-in charge and joint venture board member for the Virginia Department of Transportation (DOT) $5.6B Megaprojects Program; lead executive on the Elgin O’Hare Western Access Project for the Illinois DOT; lead executive and start-up manager for the $1B Connecting Idaho-GARVEE Bond Program at the Idaho Transportation Department; and special advisor to the Bi-Partisan Policy Center’s National Transportation Policy Project.

Nicol began his transportation industry career in Indiana where he served four governors and two attorneys general in progressive positions of responsibility, including as the Indiana DOT Commissioner, Deputy and Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Land Acquisition Chief, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Deputy Attorney General and Governor’s Fellow.

He holds a Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law and a B.S. degree from the University of Evansville. Nicol also is a planning and design division board member of the American Road and Transportation Builder’s Association and a former advisory board member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar. He will be located out of CH2M’s Herndon, Virginia, office.
