Typical benefits offered to Jacobs U.S. employees include the following:

Retirement Savings – Eligible employees may participate in a qualified 401(k) plan upon employment to assist you in making financial and retirement plans for your future. The 401(k) plan provides the convenience of pre-tax payroll deductions and matching company contributions. Employees are 100% vested in all contributions, including matching company contributions, and may allocate monies among a variety of investment options.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan – Eligible employees who have completed at least one year of service may participate in the Jacobs Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). The ESPP gives you an opportunity to share in Jacobs’ financial future while building a financial resource for your future.

Health Benefits – Jacobs offers a variety of health programs to eligible employees that are designed to promote the well-being of you and your family, and protect you and your loved ones from major financial hardships in the event of illness or injury:

  • Medical, dental and vision benefits
  • Health and dependent care flexible spending accounts
  • Employee assistance program (100% company paid)
  • Wellness benefits, including preventive health care, health risk assessments, health coaching, 24-hour Nurse Line, discounts on gyms and health equipment, etc.

Disability Benefits – Eligible employees may elect to participate in disability coverage upon employment to help protect you from financial loss as a result of an injury or extended illness.

Life & Accident Insurance – To provide for the future of you and your family members, Jacobs provides eligible employees with group basic life and business travel accident insurance at no cost to the employee. Eligible employees may also purchase additional group life and accident coverage for themselves and their family members. All such coverage is available to you upon employment.

Other Voluntary Benefits – Upon employment, eligible employees may elect to purchase other benefits such as prepaid legal benefits, critical illness insurance, long-term care insurance, home and auto insurance, identity theft service, universal and high-volume term life insurance and commuter assistance benefits for additional protection and financial stability.

Flexible Work Schedules – Where possible, offices offer alternative work-week schedules to help you to strike a more effective balance between your work and personal life.

Paid Holidays – Jacobs provides eligible employees with six paid holidays immediately upon employment. For some offices, Jacobs also observes the work days that fall just before or after a paid holiday (e.g., the day after Thanksgiving and the Fridays before Easter, Memorial Day and Labor Day).

Paid Time Off – Jacobs provides most eligible employees with paid time off (PTO) in lieu of separate vacation and sick pay programs. The PTO program provides you with the flexibility for balancing your work and personal life. As your service with the company increases, your annual PTO benefits also increase. Moreover, Jacobs pays out the full value of any unused, accrued PTO in excess of the maximum amount that may be carried over to the next year.

Tuition Reimbursement – Eligible employees who have completed at least one year of service are eligible for the global Tuition Reimbursement Program. Jacobs reimburses up to a maximum of $5,000 for tuition and other fees for pre-approved, work-related undergraduate, graduate or certificate courses upon receiving evidence of satisfactory completion of a course.
