Quality for Jacobs means fulfilling client needs. Every client has unique needs which demand fulfillment for their business success. We at Jacobs are focused on understanding these unique needs, and translating them into our project delivery and execution process with the goal of contributing significantly to our clients’ success. People deliver the work using the processes, and we select and invest in great people. Commitment Our commitment to quality permeates our company structure, top to bottom. At the global level, our Senior Vice President, Quality and Safety oversees our Global Quality Management System and promotes the use of best practices companywide. The quality function is also an integral part of our line organization. Regionally, we deploy Operations Quality Managers who support operations by implementing our Quality Management System and performance improvement program across their business units. Locally, our offices apply standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other best practices to achieve results that delight our clients. Our offices in Europe, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, India, Australia, along with selected U.S. offices, all have received ISO certification. Finally, every employee is responsible for not only their own quality performance, but for identifying ways in which we can improve our work processes to deliver more value. Tools Our Global Company Policy, Global Quality Manual, and Global Standard Operating Procedures communicate policies, procedures, and requirements for activities that impact quality performance. Our Global Quality System defines our project delivery processes and integrates standard operating procedures and best practices for continuous improvement and value delivery. We use project tools such as work process maps, internal project reviews, focused client expectation and satisfaction surveys, and Jacobs Value Enhancing Practices to both deliver successful, repeatable results, and to create new opportunities for innovation and enhanced value delivery. Our people, our tools, and our commitment all add up to superior performance that yields a competitive advantage for our clients. |
